Join Laura Holling Kaplan, master clay sculptor, for a fun filled clay class!
In this 3-hour class you will receive easy, step-by-step instructions
using clay hand building techniques to create your
own Charcuterie Board, Bowl and Spoon that will be ready for Holiday Entertaining.
THIS CLASS WAS CREATED FOR NOVICE STUDENTS!
NO ART EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
During this class, you will choose one of three template board shapes.
Laura will give you simple instruction to texture and build your set.
You are encouraged to take stroll in your yard and collect natural elements like leaves, herbs, grasses and berries to stamp into your board making it truly your own design.
Laura will also bring along an array of textures and hand building tools for you to use.
You will then make your small bowl and spoon to compliment your board.
Once your set has been finished, you can use Food Safe Glazes to add color,
to your board, bowl and spoon to make it extra special.
Once class is finished your pieces will be gathered and taken to
LHK Clay Studio to be air dried and kiln fired.
This process will take 3-4 weeks depending on the weather's humidity levels.
Firing projects that have any bit of moisture in them is a big NO! NO!
because it can cause cracks and BIG KA-BOOMS!
Once your class projects have been fired and are finished, you will receive an email for Laura,
as to when you can pick up your Charcuterie Set at the location where you took your class.
