Join Laura Holling Kaplan, master clay sculptor, for a fun filled clay class!
In this 3-hour class you will receive easy, step-by-step instructions.
using clay hand building techniques to create your own
Snowy, Holiday Forest. This design will allow you to use
tea lights to illuminate your creation.
This class comes just in time for you to use it in your
holiday decorating or gift giving!

THIS CLASS WAS CREATED FOR NOVICE STUDENTS!
NO ART EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

During class, Laura will give you simple instruction to texture
and hand-build your own masterpiece out of a clay slab.
Once your Forest has been finished, you can use colored glazes to finish
your trees and then add some special, snowy texture glaze
that will give it a Winter Wonderland effect.
Once class is finished, your piece will be gathered and taken to
LHK Clay Studio in Weddington NC to be air dried and kiln fired.
This process will take up to 3 weeks, depending on the weather's humidity levels.
(Firing projects that have any bit of moisture in them is a big NO! NO!
Because it can cause cracks and a BIG KA-BOOM!)
Once your class projects have been fired and are finished,
you will receive an email for Laura, as to when you can pick up
your piece from the location of your clay class.
