Join master sculptor, Laura Holling Kaplan for a fun filled evening 

making a clay masterpiece that will be your best souvenir. 

from your time at PCA 2026 Show.

This year we will be creating Slab & Coil Clay Bowls. 

 Perfect for Fruit, Bread or What-Nots!  

In this class, Laura will guide you through hand-building steps and show you 

how to make clay coils and texture techniques using sculpture tools.  

You will have a wide array of tools that will give your bowl a style of it's own. 

(Poodle Themes are our focus, But other breeds and themes are available)

*You are also encouraged to bring along any rubber stamps or textures materials 

you may want to use in your creative pro

BOWL SIZE WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 7" DIAMETER X 3" TALL

  Do not be intimidated! This class is easy-peezy! 

It was created for novice students.

NO ART EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Laura's "Follow Me" instruction style will make you confident that you 

can create your own functional artwork. 

Bragging Rights will be all yours!

You will be using a Laguna natural clay with an air-dry additive. 

At the end of class, you will need to cover your artwork in 

a plastic, grocery-type bag and put it in a small box 

for it’s safe journey home. 

Once 2 weeks have passed and your Luminary feels dry to the touch 

and is not cold. It is ready to paint!

*Written instructions on finishing your Bowl 

at home will be given out at the end of class.
