Most of my clay classes are directed towards creating from scratch
a functional piece, artwork or animal made from natural clay.
Hand-building techiques that can be messy and sometime a bit intimidated,
although, step by step instructions make the project easy for novice artists.
It dawned on me after a clay class one evening,
that not everyone likes to get messy with clay.
Sorry... but it took me awhile to wrap my head around
that concept....lol. and a NEW CLASS WAS BORN!
PAINT A PAIR-TUMBLER CLASS
During this Laura will be suppling you with
(2) bisque fired clay Tumblers.
These tumblers are a great size for water, juice and of course wine!
They will soon be your "everyday drinking" vessel.
"No one can see what you have hiding it that tumbler of yours!"
They are ready to be decorated with brushes, stamps, stencils
and sponges from Laura's art supply basket.
You will be using Food Safe Glazes by Mayco.
Oodles of colors will be on hand for use to create your
perfect pair of tumblers.
You're encouraged to bring along any rubber stamps or stencils
you have that you want to incorporate into your design.
Once your two tumblers are finished to perfection,
Laura will gather them up and
bring them back to her studio for firing.
Once all tumblers have been kiln fired, they will be wrapped and bagged
with your name on it. You will receive an email as to when
you can pick up your creations at the same location of your class.
